The Bellinger Valley Historical Society is a community-based non-profit organisation run by volunteers. They are dedicated to preserving and displaying the Aboriginal and European history of the Bellinger Valley and surrounding areas on the Mid-North Coast of New South Wales.

Early life Urunga Museum
The Bellingen & Urunga Museums collections are interesting and varied with displays of objects, photos, paintings and models that depict early settlement and life in Bellingen and Urunga areas, including the maritime history of Urunga (formerly Bellinger Heads).
The museums are a great source of records of the history of this interesting area and are available to the community for perusal & research. The volunteers can also do research on your behalf for a fee.
The collection includes: documents – family history, articles & newspapers, photographs; maps, paintings, books and artefacts, some of which date from pre-European settlement.The Society is always welcoming new volunteers and values the contribution they can make – please contact the administrator at either museum at the details on the contact tab.
